My husband and I have been collecting Swedish glass for many years now. We are fascinated by the variety in design and techniques that were invented by the Swedish glassmakers and which revolutionized glassmaking in the 20th Century. However, throughout the years, we have found that the information available on this subject is very limited and difficult to find.
A lot of it is not available in English, which makes the threshold even higher for most people. During the collecting and the research that we have done over the past years, we have accumulated quite a bit of knowledge and information on the subject. We also have build up an extensive reference library about Swedish glass. Since we want to help other collectors out there, we have decided to make this website with all the relevant information that we came across. Most of the information on this site is focused on Orrefors and Kosta Boda, since these are the most collected glass manufacturers. You will also find information on the different glass techniques such as Ariel, Graal, Slipgraal, Kraka, Ravenna, Fuga, Litograal and Fabula, as well as information on date codes and designer signatures. Since we collect mainly Orrefors and Kosta Boda glass, our main focus and expertise lies here with glass produced up until the late 1980s.
